Welcome to The Lodge at Woburn Farm
We’re Chris and Debi Edwards, and for over a century, my family has proudly farmed this land here in Corton. My grandfather, Bill Edwards, first became a tenant farmer in 1919, and through three generations, our family grew the farm from 180 acres to more than 700 acres. Farming has always been at the heart of who we are.
But as the world around us changed, so did the future of our farm.
Over recent years, we gradually lost much of our farmland to redevelopment, and it became clear that if we wanted to protect our family’s future, we needed to think differently. In 2018, Debi and I made the decision to create something completely new—not simply a diversification of the farm, but a whole new vision.
That vision became The Lodge
We wanted to create somewhere that brings people together—a place where great food, live entertainment, beautiful surroundings and unforgettable memories all come together. Somewhere families can spend quality time, friends can celebrate, couples can relax and everyone feels welcome.
Today, Woburn Farm is home to The Lodge, our Canteen and Granite dining area, The Barn, our unique live entertainment venue, and Skillz Bike Park.
Leaving farming has been one of the hardest decisions our family has ever faced. It marked the end of more than 100 years of tradition, but it also gave us the opportunity to begin an exciting new chapter. While the tractors may have made way for music, laughter and celebrations, our values haven’t changed.
Everything we do is still built on the same foundations that have guided our family for generations: hard work, hospitality, community and creating something we’re proud to share with others.
Since opening our doors, we’ve welcomed thousands of visitors to enjoy everything from breakfast and lunch to live music, festivals, family events and private celebrations. Watching people create memories here has made every challenge worthwhile.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without our incredible team. Their passion, creativity and commitment have helped turn an idea into something truly special, and for that, Debi and I are incredibly grateful.
People often ask what we hope The Lodge will become. My answer is always the same:
We’ve planted a seed...
We hope it grows into somewhere that generations of families will visit, celebrate and remember for years to come—just as my family has been connected to this land for generations.
Whether you’re joining us for a morning coffee, a leisurely lunch, an evening of live entertainment or one of our special events, we hope you enjoy what we’ve created as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to life.
And our story doesn’t stop here. We’ve recently launched our brand-new children’s play area, and work will soon begin on an exciting new permanent venue to replace the Tipi. But don’t worry—the Tipi isn’t disappearing! It will be relocated elsewhere on the site and continue to be part of The Lodge experience.
We also have plans for luxury glamping pods through our Two East development, alongside a dedicated wild camping area—creating even more ways for our visitors to relax, stay and enjoy everything Woburn Farm has to offer.
There’s so much more to come, so keep following our story as the next chapter unfolds.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
